Accessibility

Fantasty is designed with user accessibility in mind. The app features large words in bold, making it easier for users with a weak vision to read. Additionally, the app is colorblind-friendly, as color is not a significant indicator for important information. Most of the text is black and white, while only the photos are colored. The icons used in the app are familiar and easily understandable for users. Overall, Fantasty is a user-friendly app that is simple to navigate, ensuring that anyone can quickly grasp how to use it.

Design Decisions

For my project, I wanted to create an app where users could physically experience the flavors of famous film foods. One challenge I faced was related to color. The colorful food photos made the app visually appealing, but I also wanted to evoke a "tasty" feeling. After considering the food color theory, I found that red, yellow, and orange shades tend to make people feel hungry. However, I didn't want a too intense red or a bright yellow. After some exploration, I discovered that a mustard yellow color worked best for the app, as it struck a balance between orange and yellow.

By incorporating the appetizing mustard yellow color, Fantasty creates an appealing and enticing atmosphere for users to explore and order their favorite film-inspired dishes.
